Dr. Sarah Virji

Dr. Sarah Virji was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta, majoring in biological sciences and minoring in criminology. She then went to Birmingham, UK where she completed her BSc in Optometry at Aston University.

After completing her degree, Dr. Virji worked in London, UK for 2.5 years. While in London, Dr. Virji would volunteer on her days off working with charity organizations such as Vision Care for the Homeless. She then went on to complete her doctorate at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Virji graduated with honours from Aston University and New England College of Optometry. She completed clinical rotations at Lynn Community Health Center, a private contact lens specialist clinic and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. In her free time, she figure skates, plays hockey and volleyball and performs in dance productions. Dr. Virji is a semi-professional dancer. She not only dances worldwide, but she teaches locally in Edmonton. She hopes to offer her skills to an organization within our city soon.
