Dr. Vanderluit was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia and moved to Edmonton after finishing her studies. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Queen’s University with a major in Life Sciences in Kingston, Ontario. Dr. Vanderluit then went on to complete her doctorate at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts.

In her final year clinical rotations, she gained experience at a specialty contact lens private practice in Silicon Valley, CA, Newington Veteran Affairs Hospital in CT, MD/OD & dry eye specialist private practice in Portsmouth, NH, and DotHouse community health center in Boston, MA. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, and taking her dog for walks.
