Dr. Palak Sandhu

Optometrist

Dr. Palak Sandhu completed her education at the State University of New York State College of Optometry and has been practicing since 2014. Her involvement in the Alberta Association of Optometrists and the Edmonton Society of Optometrists helps her keep up-to-date with the continuous advancements in the field of Optometry. She actively reviews new diagnostic technology and treatment options to provide the best possible care for her patients.

Her interest in ocular health began at a young age when she discovered the complexity of the human eye, and the ability to treat a wide variety of systemic diseases from such a small organ in the human body. She continues to share her passion for Optometry with each patient as she provides care and treatment for both ocular health and vision.

Prior to becoming a busy mother, Dr. Sandhu spent her time volunteering in her community. She spent time at local temples to help others assimilate into Canada, as well as volunteered for Homeless Connect Toronto, which provided eye exams for the homeless.

Having married her best friend from Optometry school, Optometry continues to play a big part in Dr. Sandhu’s life both personally and professionally. In their first year of marriage, Dr. Sandhu and her husband rescued a German Shepherd, and they are now proud parents of their toddler son. During Dr. Sandhu’s time away from work, she enjoys travelling, watching basketball and trying new restaurants with her family.
