Whether you're a first-time wearer or a long-time contact lens patient, our optometrists have the expertise to find the right lens for your eyes. Standard contact lens fitting is available at all four Edmonton locations.
Types of lenses we fit
Standard soft lenses Daily disposables, bi-weekly, and monthly lenses in sphere, toric (astigmatism), and multifocal designs.
Toric lenses for astigmatism If you have astigmatism, you may experience blurry or distorted vision due to an irregularly shaped cornea. Toric contact lenses are specifically designed to correct this, available in daily and monthly disposable options, in single-vision, multifocal, and hybrid designs.
Multifocal lenses Correct both near and distance vision in a single lens for patients with presbyopia.
MiSight / myopia-control soft lenses CooperVision MiSight daily disposable soft lenses are clinically proven to slow myopia progression in children.
Looking for scleral lenses or Ortho-K?
Scleral lenses, EyePrint Prosthetics, and other custom-fit specialty lenses are covered on our Specialty Lenses page. Orthokeratology (Ortho-K), an overnight lens for myopia management and glasses-free daytime vision, has its own Ortho-K page. Both are fitted at West Edmonton Eye Care only.
What to expect at your fitting
- Baseline measurements: corneal topography, pupil size, tear film evaluation
- Diagnostic lens trial: wearing a trial lens for 15-20 minutes
- Over-refraction: fine-tuning the prescription in lens
- Handling instruction: insertion, removal, and care

We offer warranty coverage including free replacements for prescription changes, lost lenses, and torn lenses.

Coverage & pricing
Contact lens fitting fees are separate from your eye exam. Many extended benefit plans include an annual contact lens allowance. Ask us for a detailed receipt for insurance submission.
