Dr. Steve Larsen

Dr. Larsen obtained his education at Pacific University, graduating from Optometry school with Distinction at the top of his class. He is certified to fit Specialty Contact Lenses, including Orthokeratology and Scleral lens designs. Dr. Larsen is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists and the Alberta Association of Optometrists. To stay current and offer a high level of eyecare to his patients, he engages in continuing education through online courses, conferences, and meetings.

Passionate about enhancing the quality of his patients’ lives by meeting all their eye care needs, Dr. Larsen has been practicing for 44 years. His team shares a commitment to delivering exceptional eye care to their patients. Optometry has given Dr. Larsen the privilege to help people and advance the field through his role as President of the Alberta Association of Optometrists. Mentoring new Optometry graduates and contributing to the growth of optometry in Alberta have been significant aspects of his career that bring him immense pride.

Originally from Northern Utah, USA, Dr. Larsen has lived in St Albert, AB, for 44 years. Married to Kerry, they have 5 children, 5 grandchildren, and their beloved dog, Jaxon. When not working, he enjoys sports like golf, tennis, baseball, and fantasy football. Reading, learning, and engaging in interesting conversations are his personal passions. Dr. Larsen and his wife are actively involved in animal rescues and volunteer at the Senior’s Day Program at the Sturgeon Hospital. Being part of the community and giving back hold great importance to them.
