Optometrist
Dr. Laura Chan was raised in Edmonton, Alberta where she attended the University of Alberta. During that time, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation, she proceeded to receive her Doctorate with honours at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, then her Master of Science in Vision Science. Her academic achievements at the New England College of Optometry awarded her a place in the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Chan has been practicing optometry since 2016 and continues to share her passion for eyes through interdisciplinary care and educating patients on their own ocular health. She continues her own education by expanding her research and shifting her focus to dry eye treatment and management. While she truly loves eyes, her goal is to build long-lasting relationships with her patients as she helps improve their vision and function at every appointment.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Chan has been involved in humanitarian missions and led trips through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity in 2014 and 2015. During her free time, she enjoys travelling or spending time with her dog, Mickey.
